17. இப்பொழுதும் ராஜாவுக்குச் சித்தமாயிருந்தால், எருசலேமிலுள்ள தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்தைக் கட்ட, ராஜாவாகிய கோரேஸ் கட்டளையிட்டதுண்டோ என்று பாபிலோனில் இருக்கிற ராஜாவின் கஜானாவிலே ஆராய்ந்து பார்க்கவும், இந்த விஷயத்தில் ராஜாவினுடைய சித்தம் இன்னதென்று எங்களுக்கு எழுதியனுப்பவும் உத்தரவாகவேண்டும் என்று எழுதியனுப்பினார்கள்.

17. இப்பொழுதும் ராஜாவுக்குச் சித்தமாயிருந்தால், எருசலேமிலுள்ள தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்தைக் கட்ட, ராஜாவாகிய கோரேஸ் கட்டளையிட்டதுண்டோ என்று பாபிலோனில் இருக்கிற ராஜாவின் கஜானாவிலே ஆராய்ந்து பார்க்கவும், இந்த விஷயத்தில் ராஜாவினுடைய சித்தம் இன்னதென்று எங்களுக்கு எழுதியனுப்பவும் உத்தரவாகவேண்டும் என்று எழுதியனுப்பினார்கள்.

17. இப்போது, அரசன் விரும்பினால் அரசனுடைய பழைய அதிகாரப்பூர்வமானப் பத்திரங்களைத் தேடிப்பாருங்கள். கோரேசு அரசன் எருசலேமில் தேவனுக்காக ஆலயம் கட்ட கட்டளையிட்டது உண்மை என்றால், பிறகு ஒரு கடிதத்தை எங்களுக்கு அனுப்புங்கள். அதில் இனி நாங்கள் என்ன செய்வது என்பது பற்றி குறிப்பிடுங்கள் என்று எழுதியிருந்தனர்.
