14. கடந்த காலத்தில் தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்திலிருந்து எடுத்துச் செல்லப்பட்ட பொன் மற்றும் வெள்ளிப் பொருட்களை, பாபிலோனில் உள்ள நேபுகாத்நேச்சாரின் ஆலயத்திலிருந்து கோரேசு கொண்டு வந்தான். எருசலேமில் உள்ள ஆலயத்தில் இருந்து நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் அவற்றைப் பாபிலோனில் உள்ள ஆலயத்திற்கு எடுத்துச் சென்றான். அரசன் கோரேசு, அப்பொன் மற்றும் வெள்ளிப் பொருட்களை செஸ்பாத்சாரிடம் (செருபாபேலிடம்) கொடுத்தான். கோரேசு செஸ்பாத்சாரை ஆளுநராகத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தான்.
