1:16. ஆனால் ரூத், "உம்மைவிட்டு விலகும்படி என்னை வற்புறுத்த வேண்டாம்! என் சொந்தக்காரர்களிடம் திரும்பிப் போகுமாறு என்னைக் கட்டாயப்படுத்த வேண்டாம். என்னை உம்மோடு வரவிடும். நீர் செல்லும் இடங்களுக்கு எல்லாம் நானும் உம்மோடு வருவேன். நீர் உறங்கும் இடத்திலேயே நானும் உம்மோடு உறங்குவேன். உம் ஜனங்களே என் ஜனங்கள். உம்முடைய தேவனே என் தேவன்.

1:16. But Ruth replied, "Stop urging me to abandon you! For wherever you go, I will go. Wherever you live, I will live. Your people will become my people, and your God will become my God.

1:16. And Ruth said, Entreat me not to leave thee, and to return from following after thee, for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge; thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God;

1:16. But Ruth said, "Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God.

1:16. And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, [or] to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people [shall be] my people, and thy God my God:
