9:8. விருட்சங்கள் தங்களுக்கு ஒரு ராஜாவை அபிஷேகம்பண்ணும்படி போய், ஒலிவமரத்தைப் பார்த்து: நீ எங்களுக்கு ராஜாவாயிரு என்றது.

9:8. ஒருநாள் மரங்கள் தம்மை ஆள்வதற்கு ஓர் அரசனைத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்க முடிவுசெய்தன. மரங்கள் ஒலிவமரத்திடம், "எங்களுக்கு நீ அரசனாக இருந்து ஆளுகை செய்" என்றன.

9:8. "The trees were determined to go out and choose a king for themselves. They said to the olive tree, 'Be our king!'
