2:17. அப்பொழுது அந்த மனுஷர் அவளை நோக்கி: இதோ, நாங்கள் தேசத்துக்குள் பிரவேசிக்கும்போது, நீ இந்தச் சிவப்பு நூல் கயிற்றை எங்களை இறக்கிவிட்ட ஜன்னலிலே கட்டி, உன் தகப்பனையும் உன் தாயையும் உன் சகோதரர்களையும் உன் தகப்பன் குடும்பத்தார் அனைவரையும் உன்னிடத்தில் உன் வீட்டிலே சேர்த்துக்கொள்.

2:17. அம்மனிதர்கள் அவளைப் பார்த்து, "நாங்கள் உனக்கு ஒரு வாக்குறுதி அளித்தோம். ஆனால் நீ ஒரு காரியம் செய்யவேண்டும். இல்லையென்றால் அந்த வாக்குறுதிக்கு நாங்கள் பொறுப்பாகமாட்டோம்.

2:17. The men said to her, "We are not bound by this oath you made us swear unless the following conditions are met:

2:17. Before they left, the men told her, "We will be bound by the oath we have taken only if you follow these instructions.

2:17. And the men said unto her, We will be guiltless of this thine oath which thou hast made us to swear.

2:17. And the men say unto her, `We are acquitted of this thine oath which thou hast caused us to swear:

2:17. The men said to her, "We made a promise to you. But you must do one thing, or we will not be responsible for our promise.
