1:13. சோதிக்கப்படுகிற எவனும், நான் தேவனால் சோதிக்கப்படுகிறேன் என்று சொல்லாதிருப்பானாக; தேவன் பொல்லாங்கினால் சோதிக்கப்படுகிறவரல்ல, ஒருவனையும் அவர் சோதிக்கிறவருமல்ல.

1:13. ஒரு மனிதன் சோதிக்கப்படும்போது, அந்த சோதனை தேவனிடமிருந்து உண்டாகிறது என்று அவன் சொல்லக் கூடாது. பொல்லாங்கினால் தேவன் சோதிக்கப்படுவதில்லை. மேலும் தேவன் ஒருவரையும் சோதிப்பதும் இல்லை.

1:13. Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God," for God cannot be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one.

1:13. And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, "God is tempting me." God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else.
