5:5. அந்தப்படியே கிறிஸ்துவும் பிரதான ஆசாரியராகிறதற்குத் தம்மைத்தாமே உயர்த்தவில்லை; நீர் என்னுடைய குமாரன், இன்று நான் உம்மை ஜெநிப்பித்தேன் என்று அவரோடே சொன்னவரே அவரை உயர்த்தினார்.

5:5. கிறிஸ்துவின் செயலும் அப்படித்தான். பிரதான ஆசாரியன் ஆகும் பெருமைக்கு அவர் தன்னைத்தானே தேர்ந்தெடுக்கவில்லை. தேவன் அவரைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தார். அவர் கிறிஸ்துவிடம், நீர் எனது மகன். இன்று நான் உமக்குப் பிதா ஆனேன் என்று கூறினார். சங்கீதம் 2:7
