6:2. நீங்கள் சுதந்தரிக்கப்போகிற தேசத்திலே கைக்கொள்வதற்காக, உங்களுக்குப் போதிக்கவேண்டும் என்று உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் கற்பித்த கற்பனைகளும் கட்டளைகளும் நியாயங்களும் இவைகளே.

6:2. நீயும் உன் சந்ததியினரும் நீங்கள் வாழ்கின்ற காலம்வரை உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை மதிக்க வேண்டும். நான் உங்களுக்குத் தரும் சட்டங்களுக்கும் கற்பனைகளுக்கும் நீங்கள் கீழ்ப்படிய வேண்டும். இவ்வாறு நீங்கள் செய்தால், நீங்கள் நீண்ட ஆயுளைப் பெறுவீர்கள்.

6:2. and that you may so revere the LORD your God that you will keep all his statutes and commandments that I am giving you— you, your children, and your grandchildren— all your lives, to prolong your days.
