2:23. கர்த்தர் அவர்களை இவர்களுக்கு முன்பாக அழியப்பண்ண, இவர்கள் அவர்களைத் துரத்திவிட்டு, அவர்கள் இருந்த ஸ்தானத்திலே குடியேறினார்கள்.

2:23. கெரேத்திலிருந்து வந்த ஜனங்கள் சிலருக்கும் இவ்வாறே தேவன் செய்தார். காசாவைச் சுற்றியுள்ள நகரங்களில் ஆவியர் வாழ்ந்தார்கள். ஆனால் கெரேத்திலிருந்து வந்த ஜனங்கள் சிலர் ஆவியர்களை அழித்தனர். அவர்கள் அந்த நிலங்களை வசப்படுத்திக்கொண்டு இதுவரையிலும் வசித்து வருகின்றனர்.)

2:23. As for the Avvites who lived in settlements as far west as Gaza, Caphtorites who came from Crete destroyed them and settled down in their place.)
