9:6. தேவவசனம் அவமாய்ப் போயிற்றென்று சொல்லக்கூடாது; ஏனென்றால், இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தார் எல்லாரும் இஸ்ரவேலரல்லவே.

9:6. நான் யூதர்களுக்காக வருத்தப்படுகிறேன். அவர்களிடம் தேவன் தன் வாக்குறுதியை நிறைவேற்றுவதில் தவறிவிட்டார் என்று எண்ணுகிறதில்லை. ஆனால் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களில் ஒரு சிலரே தேவனுடைய உண்மையான மக்களாய் இருக்கிறார்கள்.

9:6. It is not as though the word of God had failed. For not all those who are descended from Israel are truly Israel,

9:6. Well then, has God failed to fulfill his promise to Israel? No, for not all who are born into the nation of Israel are truly members of God's people!
