4:36. சீப்புருதீவானும் லேவியனும் அப்போஸ்தலராலே ஆறுதலின் மகன் என்று அர்த்தங்கொள்ளும் பர்னபா என்னும் மறுபேர்பெற்றவனுமாகிய யோசே என்பவன்,

4:36. விசுவாசிகளில் ஒருவன் யோசேப்பு என அழைக்கப்பட்டான். அப்போஸ்தலர்கள் அவனை பர்னபாஸ் என்று அழைத்தனர். (இந்தப் பெயர், பிறருக்கு உதவுகின்ற மனிதன் எனப் பொருள்படும்) அவன் சீப்புருவில் பிறந்த லேவியன்.

4:36. So Joseph, a Levite who was a native of Cyprus, called by the apostles Barnabas (which is translated "son of encouragement"),

4:36. For instance, there was Joseph, the one the apostles nicknamed Barnabas (which means "Son of Encouragement"). He was from the tribe of Levi and came from the island of Cyprus.

4:36. And Joseph, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas (which is, being interpreted, Son of exhortation), a Levite, a man of Cyprus by race,

4:36. Thus Joseph, who was also called by the apostles Barnabas (which means son of encouragement), a Levite, a native of Cyprus,

4:36. And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, [and] of the country of Cyprus,

4:36. One of the believers was named Joseph. The apostles called him Barnabas. (This name means "one who encourages others.") He was a Levite born in Cyprus.
