1:4. அன்றியும், அவர் அவர்களுடனே கூடிவந்திருக்கும்போது, அவர்களை நோக்கி: யோவான் ஜலத்தினாலே ஞானஸ்நானம் கொடுத்தான்; நீங்கள் சில நாளுக்குள்ளே பரிசுத்த ஆவியினாலே ஞானஸ்நானம் பெறுவீர்கள்.

1:4. ஒரு முறை இயேசு அவர்களோடு உணவு உட்கொண்டு இருக்கும்போது எருசலேமை விட்டுப் போக வேண்டாமென அவர்களுக்குக் கூறினார். இயேசு, பிதா உங்களுக்குச் சிலவற்றைக் குறித்து வாக்குறுதி அளித்துள்ளார். இதைக் குறித்து முன்னரே நான் உங்களுக்குக் கூறினேன். இங்கேயே எருசலேமில் இந்த வாக்குறுதியைப் பெறுவதற்காகக் காத்திருங்கள்.

1:4. While he was with them, he declared, "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait there for what my Father promised, which you heard about from me.
