10:33. யூதர்கள் அவருக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: நற்கிரியையினிமித்தம் நாங்கள் உன்மேல் கல்லெறிகிறதில்லை; நீ மனுஷனாயிருக்க, உன்னை தேவன் என்று சொல்லி, இவ்விதமாக தேவதூஷணஞ்சொல்லுகிறபடியினால் உன்மேல் கல்லெறிகிறோம் என்றார்கள்.

10:33. அதற்கு அவர்கள் நீ செய்த எந்த நல்ல செயல்களுக்காகவும் நாங்கள் உன்னைக் கொல்லவில்லை. ஆனால் நீ சொல்லுகிறவை எல்லாம் தேவனுக்கு எதிராக இருக்கின்றன. நீ ஒரு மனிதன். ஆனால் நீ தேவன் என்று கூறுகிறாய். அதற்காகத் தான் உன்னைக் கல்லால் எறிந்து கொல்லப் பார்க்கிறோம் என்றனர்.

10:33. The Jewish leaders replied, "We are not going to stone you for a good deed but for blasphemy, because you, a man, are claiming to be God."
