8:16. ஒருவனும் விளக்கைக் கொளுத்தி, அதை ஒரு பாத்திரத்தினாலே மூடவுமாட்டான், கட்டிலின்கீழே வைக்கவுமாட்டான்; உள்ளே பிரவேசிக்கிறவர்கள் அதின் வெளிச்சத்தைக் காணும்படிக்கு அதை விளக்குத்தண்டின்மேல் வைப்பான்.

8:16. எந்த மனிதனும் விளக்கைக் கொளுத்தி, ஒரு பாத்திரத்தினால் மூடி, படுக்கையின் கீழே மறைத்து வைப்பது இல்லை. ஆனால் அம்மனிதன் விளக்கை அதற்குரிய விளக்குத் தண்டின்மேல் உள்ளே நுழையும் மக்கள் அனைவருக்கும் ஒளி தரும்படியாக ஏற்றி வைப்பான்.

8:16. "No one lights a lamp and then covers it with a jar or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a lampstand so that those who come in can see the light.

8:16. And no man, when he hath lighted a lamp, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but putteth it on a stand, that they that enter in may see the light.
