23:25. கலகத்தினிமித்தமும் கொலைபாதகத்தினிமித்தமும் காவலில் போடப்பட்டிருந்தவனை அவர்கள் கேட்டுக்கொண்டபடியே விடுதலையாக்கி, இயேசுவையோ அவர்கள் இஷ்டத்துக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தான்.

23:25. மக்கள் அனைவரும் பரபாஸ் விடுதலை செய்யப்பட வேண்டும் என்று விரும்பினர். கலகம் விளைவித்ததற்காகவும் மக்களைக் கொன்றதற்காகவும் பரபாஸ் சிறையில் இருந்தான். பிலாத்து பரபாஸை விடுவித்தான். கொல்லப்படும் பொருட்டு, இயேசுவை மக்களிடம் பிலாத்து ஒப்படைத்தான். மக்களும் அதையே விரும்பினர்.
