3:17. செபெதேயுவின் குமாரனாகிய யாக்கோபு, யாக்கோபின் சகோதரனாகிய யோவான், இவ்விருவருக்கும் இடிமுழக்கமக்களென்று அர்த்தங்கொள்ளும் பொவனெர்கேஸ் என்கிற பெயரிட்டார்,

3:17. யாக்கோபு, யோவான் இவர்கள் செபெதேயுவின் மகன்கள். (இயேசு இவர்களுக்கு பொவனெர்கேஸ் என்று பெயர் வைத்தார். இதற்கு இடி முழக்கத்தின் மக்கள் என்று பொருள்)

3:17. to James and his brother John, the sons of Zebedee, he gave the name Boanerges (that is, "sons of thunder");
