10:40. ஆனாலும் என் வலதுபாரிசத்திலும் என் இடதுபாரிசத்திலும் உட்கார்ந்திருக்கும்படி எவர்களுக்கு ஆயத்தம்பண்ணப்பட்டிருக்கிறதோ அவர்களுக்கேயல்லாமல், மற்றொருவருக்கும் அதை அருளுவது என் காரியமல்ல என்றார்.

10:40. எனக்கு வலது பக்கத்திலும், இடது பக்கத்திலும் இருக்கப்போகின்றவர்களை என்னால் தீர்மானிக்க முடியாது. அந்த இடத்திற்காகச் சிலர் இருக்கின்றார்கள். அவர்களுக்காகவே அந்த இடங்கள் தயார் செய்யப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன என்றார்.

10:40. but to sit at my right or at my left is not mine to give. It is for those for whom it has been prepared."

10:40. But I have no right to say who will sit on my right or my left. God has prepared those places for the ones he has chosen."
