27:15. காவல்பண்ணப்பட்டவர்களில் எவனை விடுதலையாக்கவேண்டுமென்று ஜனங்கள் கேட்டுக்கொள்ளுவார்களோ, அவனை அவர்களுக்காக விடுதலையாக்குவது பண்டிகைதோறும் தேசாதிபதிக்கு வழக்கமாயிருந்தது.

27:15. ஒவ்வொரு வருடமும் பஸ்கா பண்டிகையின் போது சிறையிலிருந்து ஒருவரை ஆளுநர் விடு விப்பது வழக்கம். மக்கள் விரும்பும் ஒருவரை விடுவிப்பது வழக்கம்.

27:15. During the feast the governor was accustomed to release one prisoner to the crowd, whomever they wanted.

27:15. Now it was the governor's custom each year during the Passover celebration to release one prisoner to the crowd-- anyone they wanted.
