23:24. அந்த ஜனம் துஷ்ட சிங்கம்போல எழும்பும், பால சிங்கம்போல நிமிர்ந்து நிற்கும்; அது தான் பிடித்த இரையைப்பட்சித்து, வெட்டுண்டவர்களின் இரத்தத்தைக் குடிக்குமட்டும் படுத்துக்கொள்வதில்லை என்றான்.

23:24. அந்த ஜனங்கள் சிங்கம் போன்று பலமுள்ளவர்கள். அவர்கள் சிங்கத்தை போன்றே சண்டையிடுவார்கள். அந்தச் சிங்கம் பகைவரை அடித்துத் தின்னும்வரை ஓய்வு எடுக்காது. தனக்கு எதிராக வந்த ஜனங்களின் இரத்தத்தைக் குடிக்கும்வரை அது ஓய்வு எடுக்காது" என்றான்.

23:24. Indeed, the people will rise up like a lioness, and like a lion raises himself up; they will not lie down until they eat their prey, and drink the blood of the slain."

23:24. These people rise up like a lioness, like a majestic lion rousing itself. They refuse to rest until they have feasted on prey, drinking the blood of the slaughtered!"

23:24. Behold, the people riseth up as a lioness, And as a lion doth he lift himself up: He shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, And drink the blood of the slain.

23:24. Behold, a people! As a lioness it rises up and as a lion it lifts itself; it does not lie down until it has devoured the prey and drunk the blood of the slain."

23:24. Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat [of] the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.

23:24. Behold, a people! As a lioness it rises up and as a lion it lifts itself; it does not lie down till it devours the prey, and drinks the blood of the slain."
