1:12. அதற்கு அவன்: நீங்கள் என்னை எடுத்துச் சமுத்திரத்திலே போட்டுவிடுங்கள்; அப்பொழுது சமுத்திரம் உங்களுக்கு அமர்ந்திருக்கும்; என்னிமித்தம் இந்தப் பெரிய கொந்தளிப்பு உங்கள்மேல் வந்ததென்பதை நான் அறிவேன் என்றான்.

1:12. யோனா அவர்களிடம், "நான் குற்றம் செய்துவிட்டேன் என்று எனக்குத் தெரியும். என்னால்தான் இந்தப் புயல் வந்துள்ளது என்று எனக்குத் தெரியும். எனவே என்னைக் கடலுக்குள் எறியுங்கள். கடல் அமைதி அடையும்" என்றான்.

1:12. He said to them, "Pick me up and throw me into the sea to make the sea quiet down, because I know it's my fault you are in this severe storm."

1:12. "Throw me into the sea," Jonah said, "and it will become calm again. I know that this terrible storm is all my fault."

1:12. And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you.

1:12. He said to them, "Pick me up and hurl me into the sea; then the sea will quiet down for you, for I know it is because of me that this great tempest has come upon you."
