26:2. மனுபுத்திரனே, தீருவானது எருசலேமுக்கு விரோதமாக, ஆ ஆ, ஜனசதளங்களின் ஒலிமுகவாசலாயிருந்த நகரி இடிக்கப்பட்டதென்றும் என்னிடமாக எல்லாம் புரண்டுவரும், அது பாழாக்கப்பட்டிருக்க நான் நிரப்பப்படுவேன் என்றும் சொல்லுகிறபடியினால்,

26:2. ‘மனுபுத்திரனே, எருசலேமைப் பற்றி தீரு கெட்டவற்றைச் சொன்னது: "ஆ, ஆ! ஜனங்களைப் பாதுகாக்கிற நகரவாசல் அழிக்கப்பட்டது! நகரவாசல் எனக்காகத் திறக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. இந்நகரம் (எருசலேம்) அழிக்கப்படுகிறது எனவே அதிலிருந்து எனக்கு ஏராளமான விலைமதிப்புள்ள பொருட்கள் கிடைக்கும்!

26:2. "Son of man, because Tyre has said about Jerusalem, 'Aha, the gateway of the peoples is broken; it has swung open to me. I will become rich, now that she has been destroyed,'

26:2. "Son of man, Tyre has rejoiced over the fall of Jerusalem, saying, 'Ha! She who was the gateway to the rich trade routes to the east has been broken, and I am the heir! Because she has been made desolate, I will become wealthy!'

26:2. Son of man, because that Tyre hath said against Jerusalem, Aha, she is broken that was the gate of the peoples; she is turned unto me; I shall be replenished, now that she is laid waste:

26:2. "Son of man, because Tyre said concerning Jerusalem, 'Aha, the gate of the peoples is broken; it has swung open to me. I shall be replenished, now that she is laid waste,'

26:2. Son of man, because that Tyrus hath said against Jerusalem, Aha, she is broken [that was] the gates of the people: she is turned unto me: I shall be replenished, [now] she is laid waste:

26:2. "Son of man, because Tyre said concerning Jerusalem, `Aha, the gate of the peoples is broken, it has swung open to me; I shall be replenished, now that she is laid waste,'

26:2. Son of man, because that Tyre hath said against Jerusalem, Aha, she is broken {cf15i that was} the gate of the peoples; she is turned unto me: I shall be replenished, now that she is laid waste:

26:2. Because that Tyre hath said of Jerusalem: Aha, she hath been broken, the doors of the peoples, She hath turned round unto me, I am filled -- she hath been laid waste,

26:2. "Son of man, Tyre said bad things about Jerusalem: 'Hurray! The city gate protecting the people is destroyed! The city gate is open for me. The city of Jerusalem is ruined, so I can get plenty of valuable things out of it!'"

26:2. Son of man, because Tyre has said against Jerusalem, Aha, she is broken: the gate of the peoples; she is turned to me; I shall be replenished, now that she is laid waste:
