49:24. தமஸ்கு தளர்ந்துபோகும், புறங்காட்டி ஓடிப்போகும்; திகில் அதைப் பிடித்தது; பிரசவ ஸ்திரீயைப்போல இடுக்கமும் வேதனைகளும் அதைப் பிடித்தது.

49:24. தமஸ்கு நகரம் பலவீனமாயிற்று. ஜனங்கள் ஓட விரும்புகின்றனர். ஜனங்கள் திகில் அடைய தயாராகின்றனர். குழந்தை பெறும் பெண்களைப்போன்று ஜனங்கள் வலியும் துன்பமும் அடைகின்றனர்.

49:24. The people of Damascus will lose heart and turn to flee. Panic will grip them. Pain and anguish will seize them like a woman in labor.
