3:4. நீ இதுமுதல் என்னை நோக்கி: என் பிதாவே, தேவரீர் என் இளவயதின் அதிபதியென்று சொல்லி,

3:4. ஆனால் இப்போது என்னை நீ ‘தந்தையே’ என்றழைக்கிறாய். ‘நான் சிறுவனாக இருந்த போதிலிருந்தே நீர் எனது நண்பனாக இருந்தீர்’ என்று கூறுகிறாய்.

3:4. Even now you say to me, 'You are my father! You have been my faithful companion ever since I was young.

3:4. Yet you say to me, 'Father, you have been my guide since my youth.

3:4. Wilt thou not from this time cry unto me, My Father, thou art the guide of my youth?

3:4. Have you not just now called to me, 'My father, you are the friend of my youth-
