48:9. என் நாமத்தினிமித்தம் என் கோபத்தை நிறுத்திவைத்தேன்; உன்னைச் சங்கரிக்காதபடிக்கு நான் என் புகழ்ச்சியினிமித்தம் உன்மேல் பொறுமையாயிருப்பேன்.

48:9. ஆனால், நான் பொறுமையாக இருப்பேன். நான் இதனை எனக்காகச் செய்வேன். நான் கோபங் கொண்டு உன்னை அழிக்காததற்காக ஜனங்கள் என்னைப் போற்றுவார்கள். காத்திருந்ததற்காக நீ என்னைப் போற்றுவாய்.

48:9. For the sake of my reputation I hold back my anger; for the sake of my prestige I restrain myself from destroying you.

48:9. Yet for my own sake and for the honor of my name, I will hold back my anger and not wipe you out.
