37:26. நான் வெகுகாலத்துக்குமுன் அதை நியமித்து, பூர்வநாட்கள்முதல் அதைத் திட்டம்பண்ணினேன் என்பதை நீ கேட்டதில்லையோ? இப்பொழுது நீ அரணான பட்டணங்களைப் பாழான மண்மேடுகளாக்கும்படி நானே அதைச் சம்பவிக்கப்பண்ணினேன்.

37:26. இதைத்தான் நீ கூறினாய். ஆனால் நான் சொன்னவற்றை நீ கேட்டாயா? "நீண்ட காலத்துக்கு முன்னால் தேவனாகிய நானே இவற்றைத் திட்டமிட்டேன். பழங்காலத்திலிருந்து நானே அதைத் திட்டமிட்டேன். இப்போதும் நானே அதை நடப்பித்தேன். பலமான நகரங்களையெல்லாம் அழிக்கும்படி நான் உன்னை அனுமதித்தேன். எனது வேலைக்காக உன்னைப் பயன்படுத்தினேன். நான் அந்த நகரங்களைப் பாழான மண்மேடாகும்படி மாற்றினேன்.

37:26. Certainly you must have heard! Long ago I worked it out, in ancient times I planned it, and now I am bringing it to pass. The plan is this: Fortified cities will crash into heaps of ruins.

37:26. "But have you not heard? I decided this long ago. Long ago I planned it, and now I am making it happen. I planned for you to crush fortified cities into heaps of rubble.

37:26. Hast thou not heard how I have done it long ago, and formed it of ancient times? now have I brought it to pass, that it should be thine to lay waste fortified cities into ruinous heaps.

37:26. "'Have you not heard that I determined it long ago? I planned from days of old what now I bring to pass, that you should make fortified cities crash into heaps of ruins,

37:26. Hast thou not heard long ago, [how] I have done it; [and] of ancient times, that I have formed it? now have I brought it to pass, that thou shouldest be to lay waste defenced cities [into] ruinous heaps.
