13:18. புத்திமதிகளைத் தள்ளுகிறவன் தரித்திரத்தையும் இலச்சையையும் அடைவான்; கடிந்து கொள்ளுதலைக் கவனித்து நடக்கிறவனோ கனமடைவான்.

13:18. ஒருவன் தன் தவறுகளிலிருந்து பாடம் கற்றுக்கொள்ள மறுத்தால், அவன் ஏழையாகவும் அவமானத்துக்குரியவனாகவும் இருப்பான். ஆனால் தான் விமர்சிக்கப்படும்போதும் தண்டனைக்குட்படும் போதும் கவனிக்கிறவன் பயன் அடைகிறான்.

13:18. The one who neglects discipline ends up in poverty and shame, but the one who accepts reproof is honored.

13:18. If you ignore criticism, you will end in poverty and disgrace; if you accept correction, you will be honored.
