5:19. பெலிஸ்தருக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் போகலாமா, அவர்களை என் கையிலே ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பீரா என்று தாவீது கர்த்தரிடத்தில் விசாரித்தபோது, கர்த்தர்: போ, பெலிஸ்தரை உன் கையில் நிச்சயமாய் ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பேன் என்று தாவீதுக்குச் சொன்னார்.

5:19. தாவீது கர்த்தரிடம், "நான் பெலிஸ்தியரை எதிர்த்துப் போரிட வேண்டுமா? பெலிஸ்தியரைத் தோற்கடிக்க நீர் எங்களுக்கு உதவுவீரா?" என்று கேட்டான். கர்த்தர் தாவீதிடம், "பெலிஸ்தியரைத் தோற்கடிப்பதற்கு நான் கண்டிப்பாக உதவுவேன்" என்றார்.

5:19. So David asked the LORD, "Should I march up against the Philistines? Will you hand them over to me?" The LORD said to David, "March up, for I will indeed hand the Philistines over to you."
