42:37. அப்பொழுது ரூபன் தன் தகப்பனைப் பார்த்து, அவனை என் கையில் ஒப்புவியும், நான் அவனைத் திரும்ப உம்மிடத்தில் கொண்டுவருவேன்; அவனைக் கொண்டுவராவிட்டால், என் இரண்டு குமாரரையும் கொன்றுபோடும் என்று சொன்னான்.

42:37. அதற்கு ரூபன், "தந்தையே, நான் பென்யமீனை மீண்டும் உங்களிடம் அழைத்து வராவிட்டால் எனது இரண்டு மகன்களையும் கொன்றுவிடுங்கள். என்னை நம்புங்கள். நான் பென்யமீனைத் திரும்ப அழைத்துக் கொண்டு வருவேன்" என்றான்.

42:37. Then Reuben said to his father, "You may put my two sons to death if I do not bring him back to you. Put him in my care and I will bring him back to you."

42:37. Then Reuben said to his father, "You may kill my two sons if I don't bring Benjamin back to you. I'll be responsible for him, and I promise to bring him back."
