33:8. அப்பொழுது அவன்: எனக்கு எதிர்கொண்டுவந்த அந்த மந்தையெல்லாம் என்னத்துக்கு என்றான். அதற்கு அவன்: என் ஆண்டவனுடைய கண்களில் எனக்குத் தயவு கிடைக்கிறதற்கு என்றான்.

33:8. ஏசா அவனிடம், "நான் வரும்போது பார்க்க நேர்ந்த இந்த மனிதர்கள் எல்லாம் யார்? இந்த மிருகங்கள் எல்லாம் எதற்காக?" என்று கேட்டான். யாக்கோபு, "என்னை நீர் ஏற்றுக் கொண்ட தன் அடையாளமாக இப்பரிசுப் பொருட்களை ஏற்றுக் கொள்ள வேண்டும்" என்றான்.

33:8. Esau then asked, "What did you intend by sending all these herds to meet me?" Jacob replied, "To find favor in your sight, my lord."

33:8. "And what were all the flocks and herds I met as I came?" Esau asked.Jacob replied, "They are a gift, my lord, to ensure your friendship."

33:8. And he said, What meanest thou by all this company which I met? And he said, To find favor in the sight of my lord.

33:8. Esau said, "What do you mean by all this company that I met?" Jacob answered, "To find favor in the sight of my lord."

33:8. And he said, What [meanest] thou by all this drove which I met? And he said, [These are] to find grace in the sight of my lord.

33:8. Esau said, "What do you mean by all this company which I met?" Jacob answered, "To find favor in the sight of my lord."

33:8. And he said, What meanest thou by all this company which I met? And he said, To find grace in the sight of my lord.

33:8. And he saith, `What to thee [is] all this camp which I have met?` and he saith, `To find grace in the eyes of my lord.`

33:8. Esau said, "Who were all those people I saw while I was coming here? And what were all those animals for?" Jacob answered, "These are my gifts to you so that you might accept me."

33:8. Esau said, "What do you mean by all this company which I met?" Jacob said, "To find favor in the sight of my lord."
