2:8. தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் கிழக்கே ஏதேன் என்னும் ஒரு தோட்டத்தை உண்டாக்கி, தாம் உருவாக்கின மனுஷனை அதிலே வைத்தார்.

2:8. பிறகு தேவனா கிய கர்த்தர் கிழக்குப் பகுதியில் ஒரு தோட்டத்தை அமைத்து அதற்கு ஏதேன் என்று பெயரிட்டார். தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் தாம் உருவாக்கிய மனிதனை அத்தோட்டத்தில் வைத்தார்.
