18:29. அவன் பின்னும் அவரோடே பேசி: நாற்பது நீதிமான்கள் அங்கே காணப்பட்டாலோ என்றான். அதற்கு அவர்: நாற்பது நீதிமான்கள்நிமித்தம் அதை அழிப்பதில்லை என்றார்.

18:29. ஆபிரகாம் மீண்டும் பேசினான். அவன், "நீர் 40 நல்ல மனிதர்களை மட்டும் கண்டால் அப்போது அந்நகரத்தை அழிப்பீரா?" என்று கேட்டான். அதற்குக் கர்த்தர், "நான் 40 நல்ல மனிதர்களைக் கண்டால் அந்நகரத்தை அழிக்கமாட்டேன்" என்று சொன்னார்.

18:29. Abraham spoke to him again, "What if forty are found there?" He replied, "I will not do it for the sake of the forty."

18:29. Then Abraham pressed his request further. "Suppose there are only forty?" And the LORD replied, "I will not destroy it for the sake of the forty."

18:29. And he spake unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for the fortys sake.

18:29. Again he spoke to him and said, "Suppose forty are found there." He answered, "For the sake of forty I will not do it."

18:29. And he spake unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do [it] for forty’s sake.

18:29. Again he spoke to him, and said, "Suppose forty are found there." He answered, "For the sake of forty I will not do it."

18:29. And he spake unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for the forty-s sake.

18:29. And he addeth again to speak unto Him and saith, `Peradventure there are found there forty?` and He saith, `I do [it] not, because of the forty.`

18:29. Abraham spoke again. He said, "And if you find only forty good people there, will you destroy the city?" The Lord said, "If I find forty good people, I will not destroy the city."

18:29. He spoke to him yet again, and said, "What if there are forty found there?" He said, "I will not do it for the forty\'s sake."
