12:10. அத்தேசத்திலே பஞ்சம் உண்டாயிற்று; தேசத்திலே பஞ்சம் கொடிதாயிருந்தபடியால், ஆபிராம் எகிப்து தேசத்திலே தங்கும்படி அவ்விடத்துக்குப் போனான்.

12:10. அந்நாட்களில் பூமியில் பஞ்சம் ஏற்பட்டது. மழை இல்லாததால் உணவுப் பொருட்களும் விளையாமல் இருந்தது. எனவே ஆபிராம் எகிப்திற்கு பிழைப்பதற்காகப் போனான்.
