(26-27) யெரொபெயாம் தனக்குள்ளேயே, “ஜனங்கள் எருசலேமில் தொடர்ந்து கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திற்கு காணிக்கைகளை அளிக்கச் செல்வார்களேயானால், பின் அவர்கள் தாவீதின் குடும்பத்தால் ஆளப்படவேண்டும் என விரும்புவார்கள். அவர்கள் ரெகொபெயாமைப் பின்பற்றி, அவனை மீண்டும் அரசனாக்குவார்கள். என்னைக் கொன்றுவிடுவார்கள்” என எண்ணினான்.
